They say ‘content is king’ in the online marketing world. I’ll go a step further and say that engaging content – posts that elicit comments, sharing and likes from your fans – is well… what’s better than a king? As a social media marketing manager, it was my job to create content that was not only engaging, it encouraged fans to keep coming back. This campaign achieved just that with strategic social media posts released over a short period of time.
Content author, social media coordinator (using an editorial calendar I maintained) and working with a creative agency to develop collateral.
Shoutlet (now Spredfast) social media scheduling, listening and analytics software; Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest social media platforms, Photoshop and Basecamp task management tool (our editorial calendar).
This campaign included four tracks that our different audiences could relate to. The tracks included abs (featured on this page), arms, legs and cardio exercise. The individual posts were released over a 7-day period – starting with the Fit Test and followed with exercise recommendations. The content was posted on our main social media platforms Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. The interactive content was built to be shareable and accompanying messaging included membership and personal training discounts offers.
This campaign generated a lot of impressions and clicks back to the website and blog – resulting in online sales. We also noticed a spike in fans/followers throughout the campaign. The content in this campaign was also one of our most successful regarding sharing.
